Favorite Dates for Valentine’s Day

I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty excited that Valentine’s Day is on a Sunday this year. Why? Well, it offers us the opportunity to celebrate all weekend and not feel guilty about having a casual Sunday to recover from all the activities. And it’s a great excuse for you or your honey to prepare a scrumptious breakfast in bed, complete with a dozen of your favorite flowers.

Here are some of my favorite Valentine’s Day activities for the weekend:

FRIDAY

  1. Painting Party at Sips n Strokes or Canvas by U – How can painting on a Friday night be fun, you ask? Well if you’re with the right girlfriends or with your beau, the fun will never end. It’s a great way to sip your favorite wine, get in tune with your artistic side and relax.
  2. Dinner and Dancing – Get your body moving and show off your fancy footwork by enjoying an evening of dancing. Whether you choose Salsa, Line, Ballroom or make it up as you go, the laughter and memories are sure to follow. Replace those burned calories with a Bison burger or steak from Ted’s Montana Grill.

SATURDAY

  1. Nature Escape - Take a casual drive out to Serenbe, enjoy an afternoon in nature learning about organic farming and see what’s growing in their fields. To make it more romantic, reserve a room at the Serenbe Inn and enjoy an evening under the stars.
  2. Dress Up Photo Shoot – What could be more fun than having a grown up photo shoot! You can go all glammed up or play it down with blue jeans and your favorite sports team jersey. No matter the look, they can all be achieved at The Avenue West Cobb, with Portrait Innovations just a step away.

SUNDAY

  1. Lazy in Love - Nothing says romance quite like waking up to the smell of your favorite brunch foods, perfectly cooked by the one who stole your heart. Even if all your favorites aren’t “homemade,” you won’t really mind if they cheat with Williams-Sonoma’s line of gourmet foods. To make it more fun, go all out with Valentine’s Day tableware and accessories.
