Murfreesboro, TN – Beginning Sunday, April 25, The Avenue® Murfreesboro will host Music in the Park on the last Sunday of each month through September from 2-5 p.m. The kick-off event will feature Randy Moore and The Fabulous Suedes, and the entertainment line-up also includes:

 

• May 30 - Travis Mann Band

• June 27 - Roland Gresham Quartet

• July 25 - Root Road

• August 29 - The Wannabeatles

• September 26 - Awake! Awake!

 

Listeners are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs and relax in Central Park, and then enjoy shopping at any of the diverse retailers or dining at one of The Avenue's restaurants.

 

During the April 25 kick-off concert, attendees are encouraged to bring a slightly used or new book to benefit Read To Succeed's literacy initiatives. Volunteers from the organization will be at the event to promote the start of Spirit of Literacy Week, which includes special events at Avenue merchants, including Barnes & Noble, Newk's Express Cafe and The Pottery Place. Fulin's Asian Cuisine also will be on-hand with samples of its new signature dishes.
